White is quite possibly one of the best transitional colors from season to season. Bright white may seem too summery for you, so substitute your white pieces with cream or ivory ones. Don't be afraid to still integrate all of your favorite white items into your looks.
I think this fashion "no-no" is quite outdated, and just like I always say, "Every day is a day after Labor Day" so feel free to wear all the white you want!
